nīlābdaḥ kimayaṃ merau dhūmo 'tha pralayānale /
iti yaḥ śaṅkyate śyāmaḥ pakṣīndrerkatviṣi sthitaḥ //
“Is this a blue cloud upon Meru? Or smoke upon the fire of universal destruction?”—
thus is doubted that dark-hued one standing upon the king of birds in the sunlight. //
