atha janmani piturbaddhatvādi |
krūrarkṣagatāvaśobhanau sūryād dyūnanavātmajasthitau |
baddhastu pitā videśagaḥ sve vā rāśivaśāttathā pathi ||

Now, the father's imprisonment and the like at the birth: / If two malefics in cruel signs occupy the seventh, ninth, or fifth house from the Sun, / the father is imprisoned, either in a foreign land, in his own place, or on the road, according to the nature of the sign.
