atha lagnāyuḥsādhanam |
āyusthaiteṣu balāḍhyalagne vihāya rāśīn kṛtaliptike'tra |
bhakte dviśatyā phalamabdapūrvaṃ yatsyādvilagnāyuṣi tañca yojyam ||

Now, the calculation of the ascendant's longevity contribution: / When the ascendant is endowed with strength and situated in the house of life, having discarded the signs and converted [the remainder] into minutes here, / divided by two hundred, the result obtained beginning with years should be added to the ascendant's longevity.
