佛說長阿含經卷第十二

The Long Āgama Sūtra, Fascicle Twelve

Thus I have heard: One time, the Buddha was staying at Layman [Vedhañña]’s Grove in the country of Kapilavastu. He was accompanied by a large assembly of 1,250 monks.

一時，佛在迦維羅衛國緬祇優婆塞林中，與大比丘眾千二百五十人俱。

At one time, the Buddha was staying in the country of Kapilavastu, in the grove of the upāsaka Miange, together with a great assembly of one thousand two hundred and fifty bhikṣus.
