(18) Discourse of the Buddha: The Dīrghāgama, Second Section: Sūtra on Inspiring Joy (Sampasādanīya Sūtra), the Fourteenth

Thus I have heard: One time, the Buddha was staying at the city of Nālanda in Prāvārika’s mango grove. He was accompanied by a large assembly of 1,250 monks.

如是我聞：

Thus have I heard:

一時，佛在那難陀城波波利菴婆林，與大比丘眾千二百五十人俱。

At one time, the Buddha was in the mango grove of Pāvārika in the city of Nālandā, together with a great assembly of one thousand two hundred and fifty bhikṣus.
