Thus have I heard:

164.3

At one time, the Buddha was staying in Śrāvastī at Jetavana Anāthapiṇḍadārāma.

164.4

At that time, the Bhagavat told the bhikṣus: "Due to the existence of what, arising from what, clinging to what, viewing what as a self, do sentient beings hold such a view and speak thus: 'The wind does not blow, fire does not burn, water does not flow, arrows are not shot, pregnant women do not give birth, milk cannot be milked, and whether the sun and moon rise or set, whether it is light or dark, cannot be known'?"

164.5

The bhikṣus said to the Buddha: "The Bhagavat is the root of the Dharma, the eye of the Dharma, the refuge of the Dharma..." It is explained in full detail in this manner, following the order of the previous three sūtras.
