### [1.55](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1485.1.55)

> "Buddha-son! Second is deep wisdom of the ultimate truth, that is to say, the five supernormal knowledges: these are the distinct functions of the nature of wisdom. Thus, divine refers to the spiritual mind, which is why there is the bodily supernormal power of the devas; the divine eye sees all phenomena across the three times and sees subtle forms and so forth; the divine ear hears sounds throughout the ten directions and so forth; the divine knowledge of others' minds knows the minds of all people; and the divine knowledge of past lives knows the life-spans in the three times and six destinies. This is because one sees all phenomena with the wisdom of non-arising.
