金剛經纂要刊定記 4.15

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [4.15](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1702.4.15)

此經下。正通。離相是降心者。如前所引無度無住等。須約住修顯者。若有發心修行，斯可說得降心；若無住修，說何降制？斯則只於住修以降分別妄念，故云本不相離。

> From "This sūtra" downward: directly resolving it. Regarding "departing from characteristics is subduing the mind": as quoted above, having no delivery, no abiding, and so on. Regarding "it must be revealed in terms of abiding and cultivation": if there is generating the mind and practicing cultivation, only then can subduing the mind be spoken of; if there were no abiding and cultivation, what subduing and restraint could be spoken of? This being so, it is only within abiding and cultivation that conceptual, deluded thoughts are subdued, hence it says 'they are originally not separate from each other.'
