### [7.61](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1702.7.61)

破和合。經徵意云：以何義故說世界耶？釋意云：世界若實則是一合。佛說一合者，非實有之一合，是空無之一合。疏文中引天親解。

> Refuting the composite whole. The sūtra's interrogation means: For what reason is a world spoken of? The explanation means: If a world were real, it would be a composite whole. When the Buddha speaks of a composite whole, it is not a really existent composite whole; it is an empty and non-existent composite whole. In the commentary's text, it cites Vasubandhu's explanation.
