- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.25](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1705.2.25)

> From "all practicing \[the virtues of\] arhats" down, the third is praising their virtues; they are also upāsikās within the shared and distinctive \[teachings\]. The text has two parts: first, generally praising the ten stages can be understood. Next, from "initial birth" down, it individually praises the merits within the ten stages. The text has two parts: now it first directly praises them. In one stage there are three minds: from the tenth dedication, initially having the merits attained in the first stage is the initial mind; pausing and not progressing, the merits attained is the dwelling mind; fulfilling the merits and wishing to enter the second stage is the final mind. The Lotus Sūtra also says: "Skillfully entering, emerging, and dwelling," and so forth.
