> From "they immediately scattered one million" onward is the second \[part\], scattering flowers as an offering. The text has three parts: first, practice flowers; second, prajñā flowers; and finally, wondrous awakening flowers. These three symbolize the stages of the distinctive teaching: first, the practice flowers symbolize the stages of the three ranks of worthies; next, the prajñā flowers symbolize the stages of the daśabhūmi; finally, the wondrous awakening flowers symbolize the stage of Buddhahood. The first text has four parts: 1. the kings scattering flowers; from "in empty space" onward, 2. the flowers transforming into seats; from "the Buddhas of the ten directions" onward, 3. the transformation Buddhas teaching the Dharma; from "the immeasurable great assembly" onward, 4. the transformation assemblies scattering flowers.
