> "Self-nature's purity" means that afflictions having already been exhausted, the essence is without blemish; this is the virtue of severance (prahāṇa-guṇa). "Is called awakening to sarvajña": this is translated as all-knowledge (sarvajñatā), and this is its virtue of wisdom (jñāna-guṇa). Sixth, citing the cause to reveal the fruition. The text states that the fundamental karma of sentient beings is that which is originally practiced by the buddhas and bodhisattvas: the thirteen patiences are practiced by bodhisattvas and are named causal practices; the fourteenth patience is the virtue of the Buddha and is named revealing the fruition.
