> The commentary states: As for "ineffable," Avataṃsaka Sūtra 45 says: "'Ineffable' is the 119th number. If it is 'ineffable-ineffable', it is the 120th number." Dwelling in the palace of Maheśvara at the summit of the form realm, they act as the lord of the three realms, with their realm and cultivation being the most supreme. "Attains the samādhi that exhausts principle" means: because they illuminate and understand the culmination of principle, it is called "exhausting principle." "Samādhi" is knowable; this is the final vajropama-samādhi. "Shares the scope of practice of the buddhas" means that they share the quiescent kṣānti. "Exhausts the origin of the three realms" means: according to the Benji, "The ālayavijñāna is taken as the fundamental origin." As the Awakening of Faith says, fundamental ignorance gives rise to the karmic consciousness. The origin of accumulation and the origin of suffering are the origin of the three realms; because noble cognition severs this, it is called "exhausting." "Universally benefits" and so on means that the sentient beings benefited in this bhūmi realize the ultimate and comprehend the conventional, all being most supreme and partially identical to the realm of a buddha. Therefore, the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā-prajñāpāramitā Sūtra says: "A bodhisattva of the tenth bhūmi should be known to be like a buddha," and also says: "they have not yet completely seen their nature"—this is precisely its meaning. From here, the third section concludes by clarifying the buddhas. In it there are two parts: first, concluding the bodhisattvas.
