> Exposition: As for "desire realm," it is the realm belonging to the two cravings for food and sex: all of the four \[unfortunate\] destinies, one portion of the deva destiny, and their supporting habitats are called the desire realm. "Discrimination" means that the consciousnesses of sentient beings in the desire realm are dispersed and agitated, with different bodies and different notions, giving rise to false discrimination regarding various sufferings and pleasures. "Produced" refers to the production by false imagination of body, speech, and mind. "Various karmas": the substance of karma is volition (cetanā), and meritorious and non-meritorious conduct are as explained earlier. Next is the second: clarifying the karma of the form realm.
