> Question: Can multiple buddhas appear concurrently in a single world? Answer: Even wheel-turning kings do not appear concurrently as two, how much less could two Great Awakened Ones appear concurrently! \[Objection:\] If so, how can bodhisattvas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges directly attain buddhahood in their bodies? \[Reply:\] This objection is also invalid. What fault is there if it is in other worlds? It is just like the nāga maiden in the Lotus Sūtra.
