This accords with the Vibhāṣā's altering of great kalpas during the cultivation of the wondrous marks. If so, since the time is so vast and distant, by what means does one achieve buddhahood? We answer: While dreaming, one considers it to be many years, but upon waking it is merely an instant. Therefore, though the time is immeasurable, awakening is in a single kṣaṇa.
