- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.510](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1709.3.510)

> Exposition: In the text there are five \[points\]. First, the sun and moon do not appear. Second, various disasters in the heavens. Third, various disasters on earth. Fourth, ghosts and spirits appearing. Fifth, birds and beasts manifesting anomalies. 'Such' and so forth refers by example to the rest: the inauspicious portents of black and white rainbows, wolves and tigers unleashing their venom, and plants and trees being harmed by pests. Whether for the state or for the household, the calamities are manifold. From here on is the fourth, concluding with an exhortation to accept and uphold \[it\].
