- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [7.65](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1715.7.65)

> From “How much more so those who are fully able to read and recite” below is the second among the Dharma masters of the present world, clarifying the upper-grade Dharma master, which also has two stages: first, generally drawing a comparison to bring out that the upper-grade Dharma master has profound merit and weighty retribution—above it was said that one who can only uphold a single line or a single verse is a lower-grade Dharma master; now, one who is fully able to receptively uphold, read, and recite is an upper-grade Dharma master. Second, stating “Bhaiṣajyarāja, you should know that this person voluntarily abandons their pure karmic retribution”, which specifically clarifies that the upper-grade Dharma master has profound merit.
