- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.231](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1716.1.231)

> He established six aspects of cause and fruit to judge coarseness and subtlety, and also exclusively judged subtlety by means of the four onenesses. Now I challenge him: the past coarse was fully equipped with the four onenesses, so the past coarseness was not coarse; the present subtle completely lacked the four onenesses, so the present subtlety was not subtle. Against his single phrase, I set forth four lines of challenge, four times six making twenty-four. Using his own contradictions to strike against each other, neither exceeding nor falling short, there should be just this many.
