This sūtra clarifies that the Master's provisional and real \[wisdoms\] had already been perfected long before the Bodhi Tree. Other sūtras clarify that the disciples of the two vehicles cannot enter real wisdom, nor can they deploy provisional wisdom; this sūtra clarifies that the disciples entered the real long ago, and had also previously understood and practiced the provisional.
