> As for the two truths of substantial existence: the aggregates, sense fields, and realms are all substantial dharmas. Produced by substantial dharmas, arrayed in myriad varieties, they are therefore called conventional. By cultivating the path through expedients, once this conventional has been extinguished, one then converges with the real. The Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā states: 'emptying form, and form is empty'—because the conventional is extinguished, it is called 'emptying form'; because form is not extinguished \[of itself\], it is called 'form is empty'. That there is no medicine in sickness, and no bodhi in words, are both of this meaning. Such is the character of the two truths of substantial existence. With respect to this, there are also the three meanings of according with sentiment, according with sentiment-and-wisdom, and according with wisdom, which can be known through deduction.
