> These are all praises explaining the meaning of the highest and wonderful, and there are also distinctions. In relation to impurity and ānāpāna, it is called the most; in relation to wisdom derived from hearing, it is called supreme; in relation to wisdom derived from reflection, it is called greatest; in relation to Heat, it is venerable; in relation to Summit, it is highest; in relation to Acceptance, it is wonderful. Furthermore, relying on the threshold stage, it is the most; relying on the first dhyāna, it is supreme; on the intermediate \[dhyāna\], it is greatest; on the second dhyāna, it is venerable; on the third dhyāna, it is highest; on the fourth dhyāna, it is wonderful. Such various explanations are based on the explanations of the \*Vibhāṣā\*; if one wishes to know in detail, seek it there.
