> Sixth, clarifying opening the crude and revealing the wonderful: if the previous sixteen sets of wisdom are not resolved, they are merely crude wisdom; if they are resolved, all become wonderful wisdom. How so? For example, King Śubhavyūha was originally a non-Buddhist with mundane wisdom; upon hearing the Lotus Sūtra he attained resolution, entering the correct mark by means of the false mark, cultivating the thirty-seven factors \[of enlightenment\] without stirring from views, and entering the eightfold noble \[path\] without abandoning the eight wrong \[paths\]—this is resolving mundane wisdom to enter wonderful wisdom. It may match the five grades, or match the likeness \[stage\], or match the partial realization \[stage\]; each stage has its entry, and the meaning can be elaborated in detail, as explained above.
