妙法蓮華經玄義 4.186

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [4.186](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1716.4.186)

此則非通，亦復非別。何者？通教始終，不明觀常，何得中間而破無明？別教初心，即知常住，初地已能破無明，云何八地始破無明？此乃別接通意耳。

> This is neither shared nor distinctive. Why? From beginning to end, the shared teaching does not clarify contemplating the eternal; how could it destroy ignorance in the middle? In the distinctive teaching, from the initial mind one knows the eternal, and the first stage is already able to destroy ignorance; how could it only begin destroying ignorance at the eighth stage? This is merely the distinctive \[teaching\] intercepting the shared \[teaching's\] intent.
