> The \*Abhidharma\* states: "The formless realm possesses precepts conjoined with the path. Precepts are unmanifest form; because the condition of the undefiled pervades, this precept-form follows the undefiled into the formless realm." Masters of the \*Tattvasiddhi\* say: "Form is an unmanifest dharma and does not reach the formless realm." The \*Śāriputrābhidharma\* states: "The formless realm has form." One should know that the Hīnayāna's explanations of the doctrine have two views. The \*Great Sūtra\* states: "The form of the formless realm is not what the śrāvakas know." If so, what obstacle is there to the four stations of mindfulness pervasively applying to the formless realm?
