> Third, the supramundane supreme dhyānas are the nine kinds of great dhyāna, as explained in the Bodhisattvabhūmi (\*Dichi jing\*); they will not be discussed in detail now. The dhyāna of self-nature is contemplating the real nature of the mind; it is called supreme concentration. Among all phenomena, could there be any that do not stem from the mind? The mind encompasses all things, like a wish-fulfilling jewel. These nine great dhyānas are all the dharma realm. All dhyānas of convergence realize the real as soon as an objective realm is formed; not a single color or scent fails to be the Middle Way. Even the two vehicles do not yet know their names, much less realize their concentration!
