> If one knows characters are non-characters, neither characters nor non-characters, free from the delusions of the two extremes, this is called purity; purity being free from karma is called self; self being free from suffering is called bliss; freedom from suffering being free from saṃsāra is called permanence. Why? Characters are the conventional truth; non-characters are the true truth; neither characters nor non-characters is the single real truth. The single truth is itself the three truths, and the three truths are themselves the single truth: this is called the root of the object.
