> In the explanation proper, the four teachings make four sections. First, in the Tripiṭaka \[Teaching\], there are two parts: first, the explanation; next, from "for this" onward, the conclusion. The first again has two parts: first, regarding the bodhisattva; next, regarding the two vehicles. In the first part regarding the bodhisattva, there are five points: first, restating the initial establishment of the Tripiṭaka; next, from "the teaching states" onward, explaining the initial intention in establishing it; third, from "wishing to seek" onward, explaining the necessity of abrogation; fourth, from "immediately" onward, explaining the characteristics of abrogation, for wishing to abrogate necessitates first refuting; fifth, from "originally expecting" onward, explaining the intention in abrogation. Next, the text on the two vehicles is brief; its meaning can be known by reference to the bodhisattva. Next, the conclusion is clear.
