> In the third part, questions and answers resolving doubts: first, questioning the intent of the objects. Since the provisional has been opened to reveal the real, there should only be the one real truth; why are there diverse six aspects that are not identical, mutually intermingling, and appearing and disappearing according to sentiment and wisdom? Next, in the answer, there are two parts: first, generally explaining the intent of these diverse aspects; second, directly explaining the aspects of the diverse forms according to the flavors. Here, too, there are two parts: first, the doctrinal principle; second, the metaphor. The first text also has two parts: first, the explanation; second, the conclusion. In the first: these are all the effortless skillfulness of the Tathāgata, causing the taught objects to have different paths of separation and combination, yet how could the wisdom that scrutinizes the principle ever increase or decrease? However, the wondrous functioning of the identical essence operates without moving, and can thus adapt to beings with diverse provisions; illuminating those wondrous capacities, the treasury of principle is equal, and being stimulated without contrivance, it brings about benefits that are not in vain, thereby obtaining the various flavors. Whether horizontal or vertical, whether manifest or secret, though planting, ripening, and liberating differ, entering the secret treasury is not different. The conclusion can be known. In the metaphor, the metaphor comes first, followed by the comparative inference.
