Once Aniruddha lost his fleshy eyes, the Buddha and the bhikṣus constantly sewed robes for him. While the Buddha was at the Kosala cave in Śrāvastī, the Buddha gathered with eight hundred bhikṣus to make the three robes for Aniruddha. The Buddha personally stretched out the cloth, while the bhikṣus cut and sewed, completing them in a single day.
