Even when both cause and effect are raised, it is not yet as clear as citing verification; therefore 'Never Disparaging' is spoken. Although past persons are raised, it is not yet like present transformations; therefore 'Spiritual Powers' is spoken. Although spiritual powers are shown, it is not yet like patting the crown of the head in entrustment; therefore 'Entrustment' is spoken. Although there is general entrustment, it is not yet like demonstrating its essential art of renouncing the body to preserve the Way; therefore 'Bhaiṣajyarāja' is spoken. Although the transforming agent is admonished, it is not yet like admonishing those who are transformed so that wherever they hear the Dharma they give rise to the thought of the Buddha; therefore 'Gadgadasvara' and 'Avalokiteśvara' are spoken. If beginners propagate the sūtra, lacking spiritual powers, they must rely on internal prohibitions; therefore 'Dhāraṇī' is spoken.
