- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.114](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1718.2.114)

> As for the explanation by contemplation: the wisdom that contemplates the Four Noble Truths is itself the four kings. Under each single truth, eliminating the two delusions of craving and views is precisely protecting against the eight cravings and views. Next, above Trāyastriṃśa is Yāma, translated here as "Good Time"; the \*Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa\* calls it "Wondrous Goodness", situated 3,360,000 li away from Trāyastriṃśa. Above Good Time is Tuṣita, translated here as "Wondrous Contentment", situated as far away from Yāma as Yāma is from the earth. That they are not listed here is merely an abbreviation. Why is that? The lower devas are dull and the upper devas are attached to pleasure, yet they still know to assemble here; how much more so those who are unattached and not dull—would they not come?
