法華玄論 4.42

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [4.42](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1720.4.42)

答：六度中明通淺深，如布施、持戒、忍辱等通於淺深，可得有雜義。道品中明定慧，定慧深於施戒，就此一義故六度為遠、道品為近。

> Answer: The six perfections are explained as extending across the shallow and the deep; since giving, keeping precepts, forbearance, and so forth extend across the shallow and the deep, they can have the meaning of being mixed. The factors of awakening explain concentration and wisdom; concentration and wisdom are deeper than giving and precepts. On this single meaning, the six perfections are remote and the factors of awakening are proximate.
