> Answer: Discussing it in terms of stages, it subsumes prophecies exhaustively. Prophecy before generating the aspiration spans from bound ordinary beings up to the regressive stage of the six minds; prophecy upon generating the aspiration spans from the seventh mind and above up to the thirty minds; not face-to-face spans from the first bhūmi to the sixth bhūmi; face-to-face spans from the seventh bhūmi to the tenth bhūmi. Furthermore, before generating the aspiration applies to those prior to external ordinary persons; generating the aspiration applies to those newly entering the stage of external ordinary persons; not face-to-face applies to internal ordinary persons of the thirty minds; face-to-face applies to ascending the bhūmis up to the tenth bhūmi. Since the subsumption of stages is complete, only four kinds are explained. Furthermore, they are subsumed in two pairs. First, the pair of generating the aspiration and not yet generating the aspiration subsumes prophecies exhaustively. Some are given prophecies when they have not yet generated the aspiration; some are given prophecies when they have already generated the aspiration. Giving a prophecy when not yet having generated the aspiration is like the pigeon; giving a prophecy when having already generated the aspiration subsumes from generating the aspiration and above up to the tenth bhūmi. Second, the pair of face-to-face and not face-to-face: some are given prophecies not face-to-face, which, although of no benefit to oneself, can benefit others; some are given prophecies face-to-face, which may either benefit oneself without benefiting others, or benefit both oneself and others. This also subsumes prophecies exhaustively.
