- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.246](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1721.1.246)

> From "Mahāprajāpatī" downward is the second part: listing the assembly of nuns. In contrast to the assembly of monks, this is also divided into two: first, listing those of great renown; second, listing those of minor renown. "Mahāprajāpatī" is translated here as "Great Path of Love" (Dà'àidào). "Yaśodharā" is translated here as "Fame" (Míngshēng). Another sūtra says: "She was the daughter of a gandharva. When gandharvas bear sons, they are music deities; when they bear daughters, they are jewel-like maidens, famous among all women." The sequential ordering of these two is because by worldly etiquette, the aunt is senior and the wife is junior; while according to the monastic Vinaya, Prajāpatī entered the Way first and Yaśodharā came later.
