> As explained earlier, sūtras often say that illuminating emptiness is prajñā and illuminating phenomena is jñāna, while the śāstra here takes illuminating emptiness to be jñāna and illuminating phenomena to be prajñā; this is yet another formulation. It is also admissible that the gate of jñāna fully illuminates both emptiness and phenomena. Hence the 'Three Types of Prajñā Chapter' of the Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra states: 'Knowing all dharmas to possess a single mark is called omniscience (sarvajñatā).' It also states: 'Knowing the various marks is called the knowledge of all aspects (sarvākārajñatā).' As jñāna fully illuminates both emptiness and phenomena, the same applies to prajñā.
