> It is the extreme among the profound, hence it says "extremely profound." Yet the Tathāgata's wondrous contemplation has never been ignorance or wisdom; for the sake of the ignorance of the two vehicles, it is forcefully praised as wisdom. Nor is it deep or shallow, measurable or measureless; for the sake of the followers of the two vehicles who cannot fathom it, it is said to be measureless. Thus the Avataṃsaka Sūtra says: "The realm of phenomena is neither measurable nor measureless; the Sage entirely transcends both the measurable and the measureless."
