Later, wishing to have the great assembly earnestly make three requests, he therefore preaches because of others. Furthermore, wishing to show that the Dharma is profound and wondrous and that none can ask about it, he therefore preached of his own accord. As Śāriputra said: "Regarding the Dharma attained at the place of awakening, none can raise questions"; my intent is difficult to fathom, and neither can anyone ask, therefore among the twelve divisions \[of scripture\], the sūtra spoken without request is used to establish the teaching.
