法華義疏 5.11

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [5.11](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1721.5.11)

通而為論互現皆得，但上就別以題名，今據通以標目。所言別者，法說語通，方便名別，故從別為稱。今言譬喻，其語則通，故從通為目，斯則法喻雙舉、通別互題也。

> Speaking generally, either could appear interchangeably. However, the preceding \[chapter\] was titled based on the specific, whereas this one is headed based on the general. As for what is called 'specific': 'exposition of Dharma' is a general term, whereas 'expedient means' is a specific name; hence it was designated according to the specific. As for what is now called 'parable': this phrase is general, so it was headed according to the general. Thus, Dharma and parable are both presented, and general and specific are interchangeably used in the titles.
