> They are all subsumed under the suffering of death. The Daśabhūmika Sūtra says: 'At the time of death and parting, an ignorant person's greedy attachment and burning of mind is called sorrow (忧); vocal weeping is grief (悲); confronting \[adverse conditions with\] the five senses is suffering (苦); confronting \[adverse conditions with\] the mental faculty is sorrow (忧); and suffering deepening further is anguish (恼).' The Śālistamba Sūtra states: 'Reminiscing in sadness over past events, with words and sounds of grief, is called sorrow; continuous longing and reminiscing is called grief; painful matters pressing upon the body is called suffering; and being entangled by afflictions is called anguish.' They also undergo various sufferings because of the five desires and wealth.
