- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [8.72](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1721.8.72)

> There are two meanings: First, the wisdom of the remainder nirvāṇa of the two vehicles is not the ultimate wisdom, so here the ultimate wisdom of the Buddha is clarified. Second, the remainderless nirvāṇa of the two vehicles is not ultimate cessation, so here the ultimate cessation is clarified—meaning that the fruit of the two deaths is forever cut off, transcending the flow of the five entrenchments, and thus it is called extinction. Furthermore, earlier it spoke of 'the ultimate knowledge of all modes', meaning that there is no objective realm it does not illuminate, which is prajñā; here, there is no fruit that is not quiescent, which is liberation, and the dharmakāya resides within.
