> Regarding the substantial entities of these carts that emerge outside the gate as three carts, there are many differences. Ancient explanations say it is precisely nirvāṇa; the present explanation takes precisely subsequent correct wisdom. Taking nirvāṇa as the cart's substantial entity is stated in the clear texts of the sūtra and treatise. The sūtra's application says: 'wishing to quickly emerge from the triple world and seeking nirvāṇa for themselves, like those children seeking the goat cart and emerging from the burning house.' The treatise says: 'afterward entering nirvāṇa.' Therefore, on what textual basis is subsequent wisdom taken as the three carts?
