觀音玄義記 1.8

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.8](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1727.1.8)

三、「故無」下，遮照相即結二身德相，二：初、應身相。中道法界雙遮二邊故無所在，當體雙照故無不在。「化應九道之身」者，此中云化，作欻有釋，并應成二，顯益相足也。

> Third, under "Therefore without...", quelling and illuminating being mutually identical concludes the virtuous aspects of the two bodies, which has two parts: first, the aspect of the responsive body. The middle-way dharmadhātu dual-quells the two extremes, hence "it is nowhere present"; its very substance dual-illuminates, hence "it is nowhere absent." "Bodies that transform and respond to the nine realms": here "transform" is explained as sudden appearance, and combined with "response" it becomes two, making the aspects of manifest benefit complete.
