- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.15](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1728.2.15)

> "If there is prostration, the fortune is not in vain": this concludes the latent capacity of bodily karma, and is also meant to resolve doubts. The meaning of concluding can be understood. As for resolving doubts: if it is said that prostration fulfills vows, there are those who perform prostrations yet do not receive fulfillment of their vows; how can it be said to be "not in vain"? "Tang" means in vain; "juan" means discarded. When, because the mind is not earnest, the vow is not fulfilled, the power of prostration still assists unseen without being lost. This can be \[understood as\] resolving doubts.
