觀音義疏 2.29

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.29](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1728.2.29)

二、格量為四：一、格量本，二、問，三、答，四、正格量。格量本者，舉三多：六十二億舉福田多、盡形壽舉時節多、四事具足舉種子多。舊但三意，今持名號多，凡舉四多，為格量本也。

> Second, the comparative evaluation comprises four parts: first, the basis of the comparative evaluation; second, the question; third, the answer; fourth, the direct comparative evaluation. As for the basis of the comparative evaluation, three 'plenties' are cited: sixty-two koṭis refers to plenty of fields of merit; to the end of one's physical life refers to plenty of time; being fully provided with the four requisites refers to plenty of seeds \[of giving\]. The old \[commentators\] had only these three points; now, upholding many names makes four 'plenties' in total, which serve as the basis of the comparative evaluation.
