- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.79](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1728.2.79)

> Yakṣas: translated here as 'swift'. These dwell in three places: ocean islands, the sky, and the heavens. Holding \[their boundaries\] successively, they are not permitted to eat humans. When the Buddha first attained awakening and preached the Dharma, their proclamations reached up to the heavens. Gandharvas: translated here as 'fragrance-aggregate'. They are Śakra's music deities, dwelling in the vajra cave south of Mount Sumeru; when the gods wish to make music, their minds are moved. Master Shi says: 'Dwelling in the jewelled mountains, their bodies have unusual marks.' They then ascend to play music.
