> Regarding the third, \[the dedication that is\] equal to all buddhas, there are five \[parts\]: first, the question; second, the answer; third, the conclusion; fourth, the praise of virtues; and fifth, the verses. The text of the answer has five \[parts\]: First, the definition of the nature of the practice has two \[aspects\], which can be understood. This dedication has two meanings: first, because it is equal, the three kinds of dedication are accomplished; second, because one must first dedicate in the three ways, equality is attained; this can be inferred accordingly. Second, from "when this bodhisattva attains such joy" onward, dedication to the buddhas, bodhisattvas, and sentient beings; this text has four \[parts\]: first, dedication to the buddhas; second, dedication to the bodhisattvas; third, dedication to sentient beings; and fourth, from "bodhisattvas gathering practices and performing equal practice" onward, clarifying the ritual procedures. \[Dedication to\] bodhisattvas has two \[parts\], which can be understood. The third, dedication to sentient beings, contains three \[parts\]: first, the ritual procedure of dedication, which has two \[aspects\] that can be understood; second, eradicating evil; and third, generating good. Third, from "when a bodhisattva is at home" onward, clarifying the scope of giving rise to the mind; this text has two \[parts\]: first, the explanation; second, from "as the bodhisattva now gathers" onward, the conclusion. The first text has two \[parts\]: first, dedication by gathering sentient beings while at home; second, from "the bodhisattva reflects: whether minor or major" onward, deep and profound great compassion. The first text has four \[parts\]: first, giving rise to the mind; second, discerning the gathering in relation to objects, which has two \[aspects\] that can be understood; third, clarifying that the accomplishment of practice is uninterrupted, which reveals that wisdom is firm; and fourth, the conclusion. The second, \[great compassion being\] deep and profound, has two \[parts\]: first, departing from suffering; and second, attaining joy, which can be understood. Fourth, from "further reflecting: like that" onward, dedication to the actual limit (bhūta-koṭi); the text has three \[parts\]: first, reiterating the preceding; second, from "dedicating to both without attachment" onward, the direct dedication to the actual limit; and third, from "the mahāsattva" onward, concluding with equality to the buddhas' dedication. The direct dedication to the actual limit has two \[aspects\]: first, dedication according to the wisdom entering contemplation; second, from "always rejoicing in practicing the universal gate" onward, dedicating by means of the wisdom emerging from contemplation. Fifth, in the overall conclusion: first, reiterating the preceding nature of practice; second, from "the foremost dedication" onward, concluding generally. The verses have two \[parts\]: first, the prose; second, the verses, numbering forty-eight: the first two verses praise the essential nature; the next thirty-four verses praise the text on dedicating to the buddhas, sentient beings, and so forth; the next four verses praise the actual limit; and the next eight verses conclude with praise.
