The first part is divided into ten: the first two verses on what body it relies upon; second, four verses on what purpose; third, two verses on what cause; fourth, three verses on what characteristics; fifth, two and a half verses versifying "much joy" in the section explaining the name; sixth, one verse on mindfulness of what will be attained; seventh, two verses on mindfulness of what is presently attained; eighth, one and a half verses versifying the perfection of faith in abiding; ninth, one verse on the perfection of cultivation; tenth, three verses on the perfection of dedication.
