Second, at the end of the preceding chapter, it was said that upon first generating the mind, one immediately achieves perfect awakening; not yet knowing what merit this mind possesses to be capable of such \[an achievement\], this chapter comes to explain this meaning. Third, the preceding two chapters adapted the Dharma to capacities, explaining \[the path\] so as to give demarcations to the stages of practice; now, however, it adapts capacities to the Dharma, revealing that the measure of virtue is limitless.
