> Tenth, in the treasury of eloquence there are also four: marking out, explaining, concluding, and praising. Within the explanation there are two: first, adducing the essence of eloquence, namely on account of the profound subsequently attained wisdom; second, revealing the functions of eloquence, which has two parts: first, one's own stage; second, superior progress, from "this bodhisattva" onward. In one's own stage, first, expounding broadly without contravening the scriptures is the general manifestation. Below is specific eloquence, wherein there are two: first, clarifying sovereignty in speaking, expounding the ten dharmas upheld previously; second, from "for what reason" onward explains the cause of sovereignty. In superior progress there are two: first, general manifestation, namely the radiance of the Dharma having eloquence to expound the profound Dharma; second, from "with a broad and long \[tongue\]" onward, specific eloquence. Therein are two: first, unobstructed speaking, having four phrases: (1) clarifying the benefit of speaking; (2) from "skillfully entering" onward, sovereignty in teaching; (3) from "entering universal illumination" onward, sovereignty in meaning; (4) from "not abandoning" onward, clarifying not losing one's own practice; after this, from "why..." onward explains the cause of unobstructedness, stating that this stage is precisely the ultimate stage, accomplishing this pure Dharmakāya filling the empty dharmadhātu, which is the untainted true body, hence called "pure". In the praise there are ten phrases: (1) immeasurable, due to many approaches; (2) without boundaries, because each and every one is boundless; (3) many approaches without interruption; (4) harmonious blending without destruction; (5) its own substance is without cessation; (6) not cut off by conditions, because it is not a phenomenon that can be cut off; (7) speech without fear; (8) distant and extremely profound; (9) vast and bottomless; (10) subsuming dharmas to explain and accomplish.
